What is Garden Gigs Ireland?
During the pandemic of 2020, Danny O’ Brien’s career came grinding to a halt along with thousands of other performers and artists in Ireland. He founded Garden Gigs Ireland as a pandemic project- with tour’s cancelled for the foreseeable, Danny, along with Aussie comedian Damian Clark took to performing outside and adapted their stagecraft and comedic expertise into both online and outdoor formats.
This initiative helped to create safe, fun, high-energy comedy shows that have kept audiences laughing and entertained throughout lockdown and beyond!
Damian Clark
The Irish-based, Aussie hurricane has become one of the hottest tickets in comedy clubs and festivals through Europe & the UK. His latest show at the Edinburgh Fringe completely sold out for the month and won the People's Champion Award plus Best Show Award at the Neath Comedy Festival.
Clark has been featured in Comedy Channel's Damo Does Edinburgh, Irish TV's Republic of Telly, Comedy Central’s Seann Walsh World, plus wrote & co-starred in RTE2’s I Dare Ya! which became the highest rating Irish comedy debut to date.
Danny O’ Brien
Danny has been performing stand-up comedy for over twelve years, touring hugely successful sell-out solo shows internationally and headlining regularly at top comedy clubs and festivals to worldwide audiences. He is the resident host of The Comedy Crunch and The Laughter Lounge in Dublin.
O’ Brien featured in The 2017 Comedy Central Show “Brexit at Tiffany’s” and is a regular on Irish Television and Radio. He has toured nationally with Ireland’s biggest radio stars Dermot & Dave on their sell-out live show. In 2018 he opened for American comedian Bill Burr in front of over 7,000 people in Dublin.
